What is GRN?

GRN means Government Reference Number. While making payment through GRAS or website of any Authorized Participatory Bank , the 18 digit specific number which is given by Virtual Treasury for the said transaction is known as Government Reference Number (GRN). The GRN can be used for getting information about amount paid and also to ascertain whether the amount has been credited to the government.
